Questtec Solutions is a young company with an impressive history of quality, experience and care. Their products are consistently refined and improved to remain one of the industry leaders in liquid level measurement. Daniel Measurement and Control, a liquid measurement leader, directed this product development and engineering.
Questtec Solutions manufactures the Daniel liquid level gauge and valve line along with Glass-Trac liquid level gauges and valves, Steam-Trac steam and water gauges, Level-Trac steam and water level indicators and alarms, & Magne-Trac magnetic gauges.
Level + Flow
Features: Glass-Trac Type 1 Offset Gauge Valves are available with screwed (S), union (U), and tubular (T) gauge connections. Type 1 valves are used with Reflex and Transparent Gauges in working pressures up to 4000 psi and with Tubular Gauges to their maximum rating. The Teflon packing ring is standard and used in services up to 450º F. For temperatures to 700º F, valves are fitted with special wire graphite packing. Type 1 valves have stainless steel ball checks to shut off the flow automatically in case of gauge glass breakage.
The “offset” feature permits easy cleaning of gauges. A floating tailpiece on Type 1 valves permits an overall vertical adjustment of 1/8” if the gauge center-to-centers are not precisely located. Installation is quicker and gauge strain is eliminated.

Features: The Steam-Trac STBI-3000A Illuminator matches long lasting LED lamps to a rugged fabricated enclosure to set an unsurpassed standard of reliability for bi-color water gage illumination. Each port has 4 each red and green LEDs to provide a brilliant display. To comply with ASME Section I, PG60, a ported gage must provide a means for obvious discrimination between steam and water. This requirement mandates that a ported gage must have a working illuminator.By using LED lamps, the frequent maintenance associated with incandescent type lamps is virtually eliminated. When coupled with the Steam-Trac STB-3000 bi-color gage, users will experience a dramatic improvement in performance and extended maintenance cycles.

Level-Trac Control Systems
Features: The Level-Trac water level indication product line is designed to satisfy the requirements of ASME Section I for “Independent Remote Water Level Indicators.” The underlying principle is the difference between the conductivity of water and the resistance of steam. Level-Trac water level indicator systems are typically comprised of three major components, a probe manifold or water column, a control unit, and a remote display. Level-Trac probe manifolds are built to last, featuring robust construction to perform in the rigorous environment adjacent to steam generation equipment.

Features: For low pressure water vessels, storage tanks, containers, etc. Glass-Trac provides Type 1TC carbon steel and 316 stainless steel valves for Tubular Gages. These valves are used with 5/8”, ½” or ¾” O.D. Pyrex Red Line, High Pressure or Heavy Wall Glass. Each valve contains a Stainless Steel ball check which closes the valve in the event of glass breakage.
Each 1TC has either a ½” or ¾” rigid vessel connection, plain closing stem and a straight pattern body. The maximum working pressure is dependent on the length and rated pressure of the glass. The 1TC valve can be used with 4 guard rods.
Magnetic Level
Features: The Disco Trac combines the operating system of a conventional float-based magnetic level indicator (MLI) with a (GWR) guided wave radar transmitter. This means you can enjoy reliable and accurate level measurement in a simple and elegant design. Using a 3”, 4”+ chamber to house both the GWR probe and the MLI float, these devices operate seamlessly to provide electronic guided wave radar measurement and visual indication. Disco-Trac provides two independent level technologies off a single set of process taps for true redundant measurement. A single chamber is achieved by adding a slotted baffle plate inside the chamber to separate float and GWR Probe. The Guided Wave Radar transmitter obtains the independent reading of the liquid level, providing an accurate output even in the case of float failure. The GWR will read the true level of fluid even if density of product varies.

Features: Glass-Trac Gauges, formally Daniel Level Gauge & Valve, are available in two main types: Reflex & Transparent. These direct reading instruments are available in many different materials to meet your specific process conditions. Glass-Trac Reflex Gages use prism glass to provide an excellent indication of the liquid level. All liquids appear black in contrast to the mirror-like surface above. This clean line of separation can be sighted from many yards away. Glass-Trac Transparent Gages use clear, see-through glass on both sides so that both the color and the interface of liquids can be viewed. Electric lighted gage illuminators are available for use on transparent gages and provide easy viewing of liquid levels in dimly lighted areas.

Features: Questtec Direct-Reading Level Gauges are a simple and reliable way to determine the level of liquid in a tank or vessel, because they give you a direct view without compromising the integrity of your process system. Questtec level gauges operate such that the liquid level in the transparent sight tube is always the same as the liquid level inside the tank or vessel. Questtec Armored Tubular level gauges can be used at operating pressures up to 285 psig. For higher operating pressures, use Questtec’s Magne-Trac Magnetic Level Indicator, Steam-Trac, or Glass-Trac Gauges.
